Léman Class of 2020 Achieves over 90% IB Diploma Pass Rate
September 02, 2020
We are proud to share that the Léman class of 2020 achieved an outstanding 90.2% pass rate for the May 2020 IB assessment session. This is the highest pass rate among Léman’s five IB Diploma cohorts and a 67% increase in our pass rate in just five years. We are also thrilled to report that students in our boarding program achieved a 100% pass rate and our successful Diploma students achieved a mean OPT (overall points total) of 31, the highest ever at Léman Manhattan.
The IB Diploma is recognized nationally and internationally by top colleges and universities as one of the most rigorous and in-depth college preparatory programs in the world. IB Diploma students are more than 20% more likely to be admitted to the most prestigious universities in the U.S., including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Duke and Stanford. Many students earn college credit for the IB and report being better able than their peers to cope with demanding workloads, time management requirements, and high expectations of a selective university.
The Class of 2020 now moves on to take places in top universities in the United States and abroad including Amherst University, Emory University, Haverford College, Kenyon College, NYU Stern, University of California, Berkeley, and Wellesley College. We congratulate our graduates on these achievements!
