Léman Musicians Win International Competition

We are pleased to announce that two of our high school band students, Jonathan Liang and Giuseppe Fu won first prize in their respective divisions of the Alessi Seminar Trombone Competition in Taipei, Taiwan. Giuseppe won for the age 16-21 category and Jonathan won for the age 16 and below category. This competition is sponsored by Joseph Alessi, the renowned principal trombonist of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to the honor of winning such a prestigious international competition, both students won a brand new professional custom Edwards trombone! We look forward to hearing them play their new instruments at our school concerts this year.
