You're Invited on November 17: Raising a Child Who Can Think in an AI World

Join Léman Manhattan Preparatory School on November 17 for a free evening exploring how parents and educators can help children become independent thinkers in the age of AI.

Tuesday, November 17 | 6:30–8:00 PM
Doors open at 6:00 PM for light refreshments.
Léman Manhattan Preparatory School
41 Broad Street, New York, NY 10004

Open to the Public | Free Admission | Registration Required

Most children encounter AI at home and among friends long before it ever comes up in a classroom. The hard question isn’t whether to allow it. It’s how to tell the difference between the uses that build a thinker and the uses that quietly replace one.

As part of the Léman Speaker Series, Rick Inatome, Léman Chairman and CEO, will lead a practical 90-minute session on exactly that distinction: when AI genuinely helps a child learn, when it does the learning for them, how to spot the early signs of dependency, what personal information should never be typed into a chatbot, and how to set household rules children will actually follow.

Every attendee will leave with a Family AI Agreement, a one-page set of commitments built on a simple idea: think first, verify everything, and stay responsible for your own work.

This free event is open to Léman families, parents, educators, and the wider community. We encourage you to share this invitation with friends, fellow parents, and educators who may be interested in attending.
