IB French Students Exploring Marcel Duchamp at the Museum of Modern Art

Our IB French Language & Literature students explored the question, “What makes something art?” during a visit to the Marcel Duchamp exhibition at MoMA. Engaging with Duchamp’s work as a non-literary text sparked thoughtful discussion, challenged preconceived notions, and encouraged students to reconsider their own definitions of art. The experience underscored how learning extends beyond the classroom, demonstrating that some of the most meaningful insights begin with a single question.
