10th Grader Giuseppe Yaoji Fu Wins Juilliard Pre-College Concerto Competition

10th Grader Giuseppe Yaoji Fu will give the world premiere of Eric Ewazen’s Concertino for Bass Trombone at the Juilliard Pre-College midyear concert on February 18. Giuseppe won the
opportunity to perform this world premiere as the winner of Juilliard Pre-College Division's midyear concerto competition.

Giuseppe came to Léman this year from Hong
Kong. He attends the Juilliard Pre-College Division, where he studies with Denson Paul Pollard.

Juilliard’s Pre-College Division is an internationally preeminent program for the education and development of young artists.  Many of the world’s high-profile musicians attended Juilliard’s Pre-College Division from around the world, including music director of the New York Philharmonic Alan Gilbert, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and violinist Itzhak Perlman.
