IB Art Students Exhibit Their Work

On Tuesday, March 13, the entire Léman community was invited to attend the 2018 IB Art Exhibit: Anti-Pop.
The exhibit encompassed artwork from the 2018 class of IB Visual Art students, and included medium from painting and printmaking, to fashion design and video, on the themes of gender identity, media studies, consumerism, and self-worth in the 21st century.
This exhibition was the culmination of two years of study for students in the IB Visual Arts course, which is designed both for students who want to go on to study visual arts in higher education, as well as for those who are seeking lifelong enrichment through visual arts. Supporting the Léman learner profile, the course encourages students to explore the visual arts within and across a variety of contexts and challenge their own creative and cultural expectations and boundaries.
